A Princess of a Gift

Hello all if you are coming from Jill Thee Scrapoholic Christmas blog hop you are in the right place.  This is my 2nd project this month & I am super excited that I was asked to participate.  I found these cute Pink boxes clearanced out at my local Michaels this Summer and I knew from that moment what exactly what I envisioned for this...I saw some bling & an ornament holder all in the same.  So of course I held on to these until Christmas time and came up with this..

So I took some bling placed it in the crown holes on the block, wrapped some double sided wire ribbon around the brim of the box....

Use my gypsy to cut out the word Princess from the Winter woodland cart ( Love this cart...thanks Emma!) Used transfer tape to place it on the box.  The box is done...but that was not the only part of my vision on had for this....

Took the flat glass bulbs filled with glitter, cut out a crown (cannot remember the name of the cart for that =( sorry ).  Put some Bling on the crown, add some feathers to the top, placed some tissue in the box & done!!  I just love this packaged item for a Christmas gift for the Little Princess in your life.

Merry Christmas to you all~

30 days of gift giving day 6

Hello Thank you so much Jill for asking me to participate in your 30 days of gift giving blog....if you came from you are at the right place...I am day 6...

I have recently become addicted to oh man there are so many great gift giving, home decor ideas.  So my project I copied from....
To me this was such an awesome idea & would make a wonderful gift....who would not love a perpetual calendar??

So off to the resale store I went to see if I could get some cheap frames, then I purchased some spray paint, ordered my calendar from Snapfish to my local Meijer to pick up the next day....

I had to play around with different magnets...I bought these at Menards they are heavy duty....I also had to play around with the glass in the frame...the original glass that I bought with this frame was I went to the dollar store bought another 11x14 frame & switched out the glass.  My refrigerator has a texture on the front of it (fingerprint free) and it took a little playing around but I finally got it to work.  When you go to A diamond in the stuff blog you will find a link that will take you to the person who created the calendar & she has different background colors to choose from.  I know that I will be making these for some special people in my life.

Thank you for stopping bye...would love it if you became a new follower!  I will be returning on the 29th of November with another gift!  Have a great day =)

Playing catch up

It's been so long since I've posted.....we had a busy Summer leading into Fall here....and on top of that I have been trying to get my craft space whipped into shape.  I think some days it just whipped me.  I love now that I have everything in one area & it is organized!  You see, my basement flooded some years ago & my original craft space was destroyed.  This had been the 2nd time our basement had flooded due to our Townships lack of keeping up with the sewer lines (yes it was sewer water, clear but still contaminated which caused us to bring in special companies to deal with it and you cannot sue the Township...) .  I did not want to invest money in re-doing my craft room to possibly have this happen again.  But I bought a cricut machine & it changed my crafting in a BIG then I had stuff here, there & everywhere....the time came to finally bite the bullet and do it is done & I am in love with my new space!!!  But in the process I've neglected my blog....Please forgive me & I promise to try & keep up with it.....let's share some crafting photos with all of you =)

A fun Halloween card I made this year....and all the supplies I used where clearenced items!!!  I love the fact that it is not in the traditional colors most people associate with Halloween....I also used Pink by Design stamps on this project.

I love the witch legs...I got the original idea from an Stampin Up demo named Melanie Schulenberg.  These cello bags are now available from Stampin Up in there Holiday Mini.......My Creative time stamps were used in this project.

My Halloween decor.....most of these were done in 94 & 02.  I just love being crafty!!  And the memories of years past with all the decor warms my heart...thoughts of my sons when they were little & Mom decorating the house for the season....Nothing is better than that!

My Craftroom

Hello All!!!

Welcome to my blog...I have been re-doing my craft room & thought I would share my space with you....enjoy the new room & maybe you might find an idea or 2 for your space!

This has been months of work.......had to redo the flooring, repaint the space & the organize...I am still organizing but I also have finally begun working in my new space!!!

I picked up the vanity from someone who was throwing it away & I had a friend of mine give me the laminate for FREE love love love free stuff!  The gutter ribbon idea I got from Martha Stewart...I've been waiting to do this for years!

the paper stack labeling idea I got from Kendra it!  My little bar here & the hooks are from IKEA & the buckets I got at Target in there dollar bins.
Thank you for checking out my crafting space!
