Gift Giving

I have an August birthday...the 23rd to be exact, I have quite a friend base that also have August birthdays so needless to say August is a fun month to celebrate.  I wanted to show one of my close friends how much I appreciate her friendship.  She love love lovesssssssss  flip flops...so when I saw this tray back in January I bought it right there and then knowing I would make this for her.  Let's take a look ...

My friend have a bar that they call "The Bar" hence the vinyl on here and of course my girlfriends love of flip flops carries through this whole gift.
Etched set of 4 glasses with flip flops
All wrapped up and ready to give ...BTW she loved it.

Wedding Job

A couple of months back I posted some Bride & Groom mugs I made as bridal shower gifts & another set for a Bride & Grooms wedding day.  Well one of the brides asked me to make her bridal party mugs...oh did we have fun!!!

Take a look....

There is a story as to why the lips & stache are on the bottoms of these mugs...it goes back to this group of girls who are all getting married this year....the bride loved my idea of adding that element!

Fans of Michigan

One of my friends who lives in Maryland recently posted a shirt she liked, I told her that I thought I could recreate it for her...So she sent me the shirts & I showed her the design I came up with and she approved & I completed.  She & her hubby are diehard Michigan Wolverine fans (GO GREEN) which living in Maryland they cannot attend any games but this is a great way to show your support....

Now they can show there Wolverine Pride!!  I know she will be happily wearing these this Saturday for the MSU vs UofM game....Happy Crafting

Wedding & Bridal shower gifts

Hello my crafty friends...this year has been filled with many many showers & weddings, grad parties and what not....I've been busy this Summer and not keeping up on my blog...hoping to do better...Here are a couple of the gifts I made for a wedding & bridal shower I had this last week....please feel free to leave me some blog love!!!  I love love love comments!

I was looking on pinterest and saw some cups done up for brides and her bridesmaids....but I found this freezer mugs and came up with this idea.
Especially since the grooms name is spelled differently .....I love love love personalizing gifts!
And I even used the bottoms of the mugs!
I have done this quite often...the brides new name done on a keepsake memory box!
The mugs fit perfect in here (the reason I ended up putting the wedding date inside is because I cut that for the bottom of the mugs and it was too big....you really never make mistakes in crafting!)
I've recently started etching....the brides name was put on here....after the shower though I was informed by the groom to be that he does most of the cooking....lesson learned only last names on the casserole dish now!
This is another FAV of mine!  It is a reminder of that special day and once the candle is gone you can melt it down & use the jar as a special keepsake too!
Backside of the candle with their wedding date.
All wrapped up and ready to go!
The card I made in the colors of the wedding!!!

Now also on that weekend I had another wedding which was beach themed...so here is what I did for them!

Since it was a beach themed wedding I decided to add some beachy charms to the brides mug.....
And flip flops under their wedding date!

The inspiration for this card came from pinterest...I made the colors coordinate with the wedding theme...I love how I embossed the sand dollars on the hearts.....Well have a great crafty day!

Vinyl T-shirt

I made this t-shirt for a client of mine who was expecting her second child & she wanted a shirt for her older son to come to the hospital in.  I love love love the iron on vinyl available from Expressions vinyl

Shower centerpieces May 2012

I was hired by a friend to come up with centerpieces for her daughters baby shower.  After they found out it was a boy, this is the idea I came up with.  What my friend wanted was a centerpiece that could also go home as a shower gift.  So I looked & looked ....a client of mine told me how she threw a shower and used watering cans as centerpieces...so this idea was born.  I just made the base & my friend had cookies made which were put on sticks and put in the cans.  Unfortunately I do not have a photo of the end product.  Just what I made.  The Onies cut is from New Arrival, I cannot recall the name of the cart for "It's a boy".

I added little drops of water coming from the spout for a true effect.
